Legend of the Serra de Monique

Group age 4-5 years old
The main questions of the day: What are the Moors?
Integrated activity:Language and communication education
Type: knowledge aquisition
Teaching materials: Pictures with the Moors
Methods of teaching: inquiry-based teaching, brainstorming,
The seats were arranged in circle and the pictures were given from one to another 

The answers found were: "They were warriors because they have " - Victor
                                         "They had nice houses " - Davis
                                          "The men wore robes as like the women"- Rares
                                          "They wore funny hats"- Miruna
The teacher corrected and completed the answers about the Moor's clothing.
Pictures with Moors were exposed in the classroom and children share their new knowledge with the colleagues.

The children divided into groups according with their choice: marine animals or fishes

 At the end of the activity an exhibition with children's work was organized by the teacher.

Ouestion: What could we give to the mermaid?
Children divided in groups and explore the surroundings

We found some Earth treasures -some autumn flowers, a mollusk - the snail and the insects. First, we were afraid of insects and then we found that it are harmless and we can touch them and took its in our hands.

Legend of Rocha Beach

Group age 3-4 years
Language and communication education "Who I would like to be!"
Children have chosen their favorite characters and explain why they chose that.
Methods: brainstorming, inquiry-based teaching and learning, work groups



The group was divided in two groups: fishermen and farmers. Each of them search for the beauties of the Earth and the beauties of the sea to give the mermaid.
"The fishermen" search to find the most beautiful shells.





The farmers search to find something different...precious stones maybe or..a profound feeling.

Question: Could I be a mermaid?

Methods and strategies: RAI method, brainstorming, inquiry-based learning
Tools: toy (puppy)
Summary:  The chairs were arranged in circle and the children chose the seats they wanted. Children put questions to each other till they find the appropriate answer to the question.The puppy is given by the child who ask a question to the child who has to answer the question.
The play is mediated by the teacher.
Answers found: I could be a mermaid when I sleep. - Vera
                          The human can't be mermaid because he doesn't live under the water.- Diana
                          The human can't be mermaid because he hasn't fish tail.- Mihnea
                           We can't be mermaids because we can't breathe under the water. - Victor
Teacher provocative question: How can we become mermaid when we sleep?
Answers found: We can't!. - Matei
                          If we are good, we could become mermaids when we sleep. - Vera
                          We can become mermaids if we dream about it. - Maria
Before the rest time, teacher help the children to find another answer to the question:"We can get a mermaid tail before sleeping if we prefer "the mermaid fashion style".๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Children listened the legend and they wanted to find out:
Questions: 1.What color has her hair? It has the same hair color as Little Mermaid?
                  2.  Can she walk?
(all questions have been written by the teacher on the flip chart)
The class divided in two groups:
Group1 - try to find the answer for question 1
Group2 - try to find the answer for question 2

 The answer of the questions 1:
She is not The Little Mermaid so her hair is not red, it could be yellow. Surely this mermaid is a blonde one!


Group 2 - Physical Education


 The answer of the questions 2:
It is impossible to walk if your legs are tight or it are glued. Therefore the Mermaid could not walk.
